Pangkal Pinang – Kepala Bappeda Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, Fery Insani, mengapresiasi IPB University yang telah bekerja sama dalam mengembangkan potensi yang ada di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Apresiasi ini disampaikannya saat membuka diseminasi hasil kegiatan Dana Padanan 2024 kerjasama IPB dengan Pemprov Babel dengan tema ‘Implementasi Sea Farming System Berbasis Marikultur Cerdas dalam Rangka Optimalisasi Kampung Kepiting yang Berkelanjutan’, diruang rapat Pulau Ketawai, Kamis (12/12/2024).
Fery Insani menyampaikan bahwa penelitian ini bukanlah kali pertama IPB University bekerja sama dengan Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Tahun sebelumnya juga dilaksanakan kerja sama penelitian terkait dengan pengembangan kampung Aren. Selain itu, IPB University juga ikut membantu dalam penyusunan dokumen perencanaan Pemprov Babel.
"Inovasi-inovasi seperti ini yang diperlukan dalam menstimulus untuk membangkitkan ekonomi, dimana basisnya adalah masyarakat," Kata Fery Insani.
Senada dengan Fery Insani, Tridoyo Kusumastanto dari IPB University mengatakan penelitian sea farming system ini merupakan usaha dalam membangkitkan ekonomi masyarakat yang beralih dari ekonomi berbasis tambang ke reusable resources.
"Kami menawarkan dua paten pada Implementasi Sea Farming System Berbasis Marikultur Cerdas dalam Rangka Optimalisasi Kampung Kepiting yang Berkelanjutan. Pertama, sea farming system, dan kedua adalah marikultur cerdas," kata Tridoyo Kusumastanto.
Kepala Bidang Penelitian dan Pengembangan, Bappeda Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, Rusdi, menyampaikan beberapa kendala dalam mengembangkan sea farming Kepiting Remangok Babel. Kendala tersebut meliputi kualitas ekosistem yang terganggu, pasokan benih dan bibit yang kurang tersedia, pengolahan produk yang terbatas, dan juga sistem pemasaran yang belum efektif.
Diskusi atas empat permasalahan tersebut berlangsung sepanjang proses pengurusan tahapan-tahapan Kedaireka, sampai kemudian muncul program sea farming Kepiting Remangok Babel. Rusdi berharap program ini tidak semata berupa penelitian saja, tetapi memberikan output yang akan terus berkelanjutan.
Dissemination of Sea Farming System Implementation for Sustainable Crab Village Optimization
Pangkal Pinang - The Head of Bappeda of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province, Fery Insani, appreciated IPB University for working together in developing the potential in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province. He conveyed this appreciation when opening the dissemination of the results of the 2024 Matching Fund activities with the theme 'Implementation of Sea Farming System Based on Smart Mariculture in the Framework of Optimizing Sustainable Crab Village', a collaboration between IPB and the Bangka Belitung Provincial Government, in the meeting room of Pulau Ketawai, Thursday (12/12/2024).
Fery Insani said that this research was not the first collaboration of IPB University with the Province of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel). The previous year, a research collaboration on the development of Aren Village was also carried out. In addition, IPB University also assisted in the preparation of the Bangka Belitung Provincial Government's planning documents.
“Innovations like this are needed in stimulating the community-based economy,” said Fery Insani.
In line with Fery Insani, Tridoyo Kusumastanto from IPB University said that the research on the sea farming system was an effort to revive the community's economy, which shifted from a mining-based economy to reusable resources.
“We offer two patents on the Implementation of Sea Farming System Based on Smart Mariculture in the Framework of Optimizing a Sustainable Crab Village. First, the sea farming system, and second is smart mariculture,” said Tridoyo Kusumastanto.
The Head of Research and Development of Bappeda of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province, Rusdi, conveyed several obstacles to developing the sea farming of Remangok Babel Crab. These constraints include the quality of the disturbed ecosystem, the limited supply of seeds and seedlings, limited product processing, and an ineffective marketing system.
These four issues had been discussed throughout the process of managing the stages of the Kedaireka program (Indonesian Sovereignty in Design) until the sea farming program for the Babel Remangok Crab emerged. Rusdi hopes that this program will not merely be research, but will provide outputs that will continue to be sustainable.
